Gibraltar Pride 2014 -  a series of events taking place under the Equality & Diversity banner, will take place in July 2014. With the full support of the Government of Gibraltar and the Organising Committee will be working with the Ministries of Culture, Tourism, Education and Equality in the planning and execution of the various events that will form part of Gibraltar’s first official Pride event. The vision for Gibraltar Pride is one which includes as many different sectors of the community as possible – and excludes none. It will be a celebration for all, placing Gibraltar on the map yet again, as an example of a community that co-exists with strong ties and solidarity.

We are delighted to announce that Francesca Martinez, highly acclaimed tv personality, comedian, author and disability rights activist will be performing in Gibraltar on the 11th July 2014 as part of “Gibraltar Pride 2014”. Francesca will be bringing to Gibraltar her well known comedy show “What The **** Is Normal?!” which will take place at 22:00 in the Aurora Ballroom onboard the Sunborn Hotel.

We are pleased to announce that on the 12 July 2014 Gibraltar's "We Are One" street parade will be taking place.

We want to make this a celebration of our individualities whilst embracing and sharing pride in the harmony that unites us. Older generations, physically and mentally challenged citizens, the young, different cultures, ethnic groups, LGBT communities, our different faiths, and other sectors come and join our Pride march.

12th July Gibraltar Pride 2014 - "We Are One" Summer Nights

We are pleased to announce that on Saturday 12th July 2014, the opening night of the Gibraltar's Summer Nights will be dedicated to Gibraltar Pride 2014. We are delighted to be working with J2 Productions in dedicating the evening's entertainment to pride in our diversity and equality.

In line with the theme of Equality and Diversity there will be Gibraltar Pride 2014 official after party that will be organised by Omi Events. As from 23:30, at Dusk in Ocean Village, Omi will be hosting until the early hours of the morning with their “SOMEWHERE OMI THE RAINBOW” party. 

Autumn 2014

Jointly with the Department of Education, Gibraltar Pride 2014 will be organising a school competition that involves our younger generations whilst raising awareness on equality and diversity.

Comprehensive school students aged 11-15 will be invited to take part in a competition where entrants are invited to produce an essay, poem, drawing, sculpture, visual media piece or a musical piece around the famous quote from Nelson Mandela “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others”.
